I have a lot of unfinished projects

People sometimes see my catalog and assume I'm incredibly organized.

I am not.

What I am, is curious.

I have 16 coloring books in progress. Some are almost done. Some are barely started. Some have been sitting patiently waiting for ... A long time.

I also have journals, planner ideas, shirt designs, and a whole host of future coloring book plans.

For a long time, I thought this was a flaw.

Turns out, I'm not flawed. I have a unique brain.

Some projects need momentum.

Some projects need time.

Some projects need me to ignore them for six months and come back with fresh eyes.

I've learned that my creativity isn't linear. It wanders around, picks up interesting rocks, gets distracted by a cool mushroom, and occasionally comes back carrying a finished coloring book.

So these days I don't worry too much about unfinished projects.

They're not abandoned.

They're just waiting their turn.

And sometimes, the book that sat untouched for a year suddenly beco

mes the one I can't stop working on.
