I didn't expect this book to sell

Some of my books were created for myself, my friends, or my family.

I decide I want a specific book to exist, so I create it. And hey, why not leave it up on Amazon and see what happens?

The first time I did this was Heart Circles Volume One. That book is essentially a love letter to my husband. Simply creating it was enough. I'm delighted that other people enjoy it too.

Heart Circles Volume Two is dedicated to my friends and filled with sassy but loving phrases.

My Relapsing Polychondritis Symptom Tracker and Myalgic Encephalomyelitis Symptom Tracker were created for myself and my husband. I made both permanently free printables because they are such useful tools. I uploaded printed versions so I could have bound copies for our own use.

To my surprise, other people started finding them and buying them too.

These Are the Days of the Week and These Are the Months of the Year were created to support skills my own kids needed help with. In fact, all of my activity books were created with my kids in mind.

Coloring Minis: UFO was created for a themed event by request. I ended up loving it so much that I decided to keep it available.

And 2026 seems to be the year I'm inspired to create books as gifts.

I drew For My Mother as a birthday gift for my incredible, amazing, awesome mom. Then I got the sillies and created Mayonnaising Coloring: Ridiculously Creamy Coloring for Mayo Lovers for my daughter , who puts it on everythin. I even have a secret gag book half drawn for a friend later this year.

I love creating books for people I care about.

It's hard to describe, but the process feels lighter. The pages come more quickly. The cover designs seem to arrive more easily. There is less pressure to make the book perfect and more joy in simply making it.

Maybe that's because these books were never supposed to sell.

They were supposed to make someone smile.

Everything after that is a bonus.
