Sharing Saturday: Honolua Ukuleles

As a family of musicians, it's no surprise that when we borrowed a ukulele from our local library, we were immediately enchanted by how easy it was to play, and how much fun it was.
We found ourselves sitting around with a songbook trying songs we maybe hadn't heard since the 80s, and some as far back as grade school campouts.
We began searching for a Canadian ukulele company, and we came across Honolua Ukuleles.
Honolua Ukuleles is in Calgary, Alberta. It's owned by Dave and Louise Simpson. My husband and I were immediately drawn to their story. We connected with their love of music and their need to pivot in the face of unexpected circumstances.
I reached out to Dave and asked him for his why, and this is what he said:
“I think the world is a better place with more musicians in it, I think the ukulele is the most accessible vessel in the musical instrument industry for creating more musicians, and, even after over 20 years in the musical instrument industry, I still just love being a small part of someone’s musical journey.”
I connected with Dave's words because I also think the world is a better place with more musicians in it.
Dave doesn't just want to sell ukuleles. He wants to create ukulele players.
He offers a course with purchase to teach folks how to use their new instruments in just three sessions.
More music = more joy.
I hope you'll check out Honolua Ukuleles.
