Straight circles? How?

I've drawn geometric mandalas before.

I'd carefully place the lines by hand and enjoy the precision of it, but they were always scattered among my many books.

I had a couple of requests for an entire book of geometric mandalas. I love requests and try to fill them whenever I can.

Drawing a whole collection by hand didn't sound especially appealing, so I decided to try something different.

I reached for the line tool.

That one decision completely changed the drawing process.

Instead of carefully sketching every straight line by hand, I could focus on the patterns, the symmetry, and how all the shapes fit together.

It turned out I really enjoyed drawing them.

The result is Straight Circles Volume One.

These aren't simple geometric designs. In fact, most of them are quite detailed. They range from hard to expert level, with lots of small spaces and repeating patterns to discover as you color.

If you enjoy crisp lines, geometric symmetry, and intricate mandalas, I think you'll have a lot of fun with this book.
